Friday's Featured Fluff Addict is....Jill from Life is Not Bubble Wrapped!

It's Friday!  Time to feature another Fluff Addict!  This week we're interviewing Jill and getting to know her a little better.

Tell us a little about yourself, where you are located, how many kids you have, little ones in cloth, etc.- My husband and I live on the IL side of St. Louis, and just bought our first house, so we've been very busy with prepping our property and house for our family. We have a daughter, 21 months. I blog about cloth, the day to day of having an almost 2 year old, and living 'a life without bubble wrap' -- at Life Is Not Bubble Wrapped . (By the way, laminate flooring boxes are EXCELLENT toddler toys!)

What made you decide to give cloth diapers a try? I read a blog testimonial about cloth diapers while I was pregnant, and found out about the modern cloth diaper. I was surprised to learn about all the options and the $ savings as well as environmental factors.

What were your friends and family's reaction when seeing the "new"cloth diapers and have they been supportive or skeptical of yourchoice to use cloth diapers? I think everyone was shocked --mostly because no one really understands that modern cloth diapers exist. We heard second hand that others were saying we wouldn't 'make it' --not really sure why. My husband has been the most supportive.

What was your very first cloth diaper? At first we had prefolds and covers-our daughter was 3 weeks old when we started!

What type of diapers does your stash primarily consist of; pockets, aio, onesize, prefolds, flats, hybrids, etc.? Our diapers currently in use are mostly pockets, although we started with prefolds and then AIOs. We have a couple of AI2s

What is your favorite Knickernappies product or which Knickernappies product are you dying to try and why? I would love to try the Super Do for overnight, I'm still testing the KN dipes that I won in a giveaway recently!

Do you have a favorite place to hang out and talk or learn about cloth ; a blog, message board, facebook page, etc.?  I add blogs to my reader as I find them-and fan those same pages on facebook.

What cloth diapering item, besides diapers, do you consider to be a must-have accessory? Cloth wipes!

If you could share just one tip with someone who is just starting out with cloth or considering using cloth, what would be your best piece of advice to them? Usually my advice is very long winded and goes on for several pages, I warn people to read it in bits and always offer to answer any questions that they have, although I would say the best advice is to try several different types of diapers and don't invest in one type or brand all at once. Also, find out what is IMPORTANT to you, for example, is it important that everyone can change the diapers easily? Then an AIO in hook and loop might be best. Is it important that you save as much money as possible? Then prefold/cover or AI2 systems might be best for you. Don't want to size up? Go for one size dipes at the outset.

**Thanks so much to Jill for sharing her thoughts and advice on cloth diapering.  Make sure you stop by and visit her at her Blog, Life is Not Bubble Wrapped.  If you're interested in being our next Featured Fluff Addict swing by our FaceBook Page and check out the Discussions Tab where you'll find the details.

Thanks for featuring me. I SWEAR my house is not always that trashed. We just got an organizer, and took away the 'baby' toys, in preparation for winter and her 2nd birthday! Much cleaner now! The boxes are long gone, but we definitely enjoy 'imaginative play' with boxes of all sorts around here before they get recycled!
