Today's Featured Fluff Addict is...Tara!

Meet Tara, The Small Town Mom!  She's today's Featured Fluff Addict!

Tell us a little about yourself, where you are located, how many kids you have, little ones in cloth, etc.-
My name is Tara and I live outside of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. I married my best friend in 2008 and gave birth to my daughter in December 2009. I am a SAHM and in my free time I love to sight-see, sew and blog!

What made you decide to give cloth diapers a try?
We received a bunch of bumGenius 3.0's from a friend and it peaked my curiosity so I started using them during the day and then the 'addiction' hit and we made the switch to cloth full-time!

What were your friends and family's reaction when seeing the "new" cloth diapers and have they been supportive or skeptical of your choice to use cloth diapers?
Everyone had a bit of "Are you crazy, you'll never stick with it" type of reaction when I told them, but my mom has been awesome with it and wanted to learn how to change my daughters diaper right away. My Grandma is just blown away by a Snappi! She goes crazy telling all of her friends about this new 'bungee cord' type contraption, and if I'm with her she makes me show them!

What was your very first cloth diaper?
We were very lucky to receive a bunch of brand new bumGenius 3.0's and AIO's from a friend.

What type of diapers does your stash primarily consist of; pockets, aio, onesize, prefolds, flats, hybrids, etc.?

My stash is primarily pockets, but I pretty much have one of everything in it; AIO's, AI2's, flats, prefolds, covers, and pockets!

What is your favorite Knickernappies product or which Knickernappies product are you dying to try and why?
I would love to try the Knickernappies Onesize diaper. I have never used a diaper with the side snapping feature and I am so interested to see how it works!

Do you have a favorite place to hang out and talk or learn about cloth ; a blog, message board, facebook page, etc.?
I love talking cloth with my local moms on www.momslikeme.com but I also love talking cloth on my blog http://sewandtellbytara.blogspot.com/

What cloth diapering item, besides diapers, do you consider to be a must-have accessory?
A wetbag!! Everyone needs at least one they are so great for traveling with and just storing dirty diapers in at the house.

If you could share just one tip with someone who is just starting out with cloth or considering using cloth, what would be your best piece of advice to them?
Take it slow, it is so easy to become overwhelmed by all the information on the internet and from other moms that just trying to digest it all can turn you away. Try using cloth just during the day, or for a little while at night and easy into it. Also don't purchase a bunch of the same diapers all at once. Since each diaper can fit babies differently you never know how it will fit yours.

Thanks so much to Tara for contributing and being our Featured Fluff Addict this week!  If you're interested in becoming our next Featured Fluff Addict please visit our FaceBook Page and in the Discussions Tab you'll find the details.
