Friday's Featured Fluff Addict is....Mary Katherine!

Happy Friday everyone! Today's Featured Fluff Addict is Mary Katherine!  She is a fully addicted cloth diapering mama of two.

What made you decide to give cloth diapers a try?
I decided to give cloth diapering a try when my oldest LO was potty training and only going through one pullup at night and one pullup at nap time. My thought was, "hey, I can do this with my yougest and only go
through 4 disposable diapers a day." Two in diapers is expensive!!! This started my addiction. I went and bought some cloth diapers at a local store. I totally feel in love with how cute they looked and how soft they were. I bought 5 to start with so that I wasn't committing but by the time I took the first diaper off and my baby's bottom was dry and the part of the diaper that was against her skin was dry as well I knew I was sold! I went and bought more the very next day!

What were your friends and family's reaction when seeing the "new" cloth diapers and have they been supportive or skeptical of your choice to use cloth diapers? Some people were very skeptical of it and some really supported me  but were kind of weary of it. They thought we were talking diaper pins and rubber pants. Once they saw the new diapers they were amazed at how easy it was.

What was your very first cloth diaper? My very first cloth diaper was a BumGenius.

What type of diapers does your stash primarily consist of; pockets, aio, onesize, prefolds, flats, hybrids, etc? My diaper stash is primarily one size pockets.

What is your favorite Knickernappies product or which Knickernappies product are you dying to try and why? My favorite Knickernappies product is the Knickernappies one size diaper with loopy do! I have one in chocolate that is to die for! To be honest it is my favorite diaper out there and, I hate that I did not try Knickernappies earlier!

Do you have a favorite place to hang out and talk or learn about cloth ; a blog, message board, facebook page, etc? Cloth Diaper Whisperer Blog and Facebook and Diaper Shops on Facebook

What cloth diapering item, besides diapers, do you consider to be a must-have accessory? I would say my favorite accessory is a wetbag. It is a must have when you are out and about.

If you could share just one tip with someone who is just starting out with cloth or considering using cloth, what would be your best piece of advice to them?  Build slow you don't have to quit using disposables cold turkey. You can significantly cut your use by just having 6 or 7 diapers.

Thank you to Mary Katherine for being featured and sharing her cloth diapering tips with us.
