Do you go with the diapers that look the best and are the least bulky on your newborn but may not last through potty training? Or do you go with the diapers that may have a bulkier fit on tiny babies but may last up to 40lbs and beyond on your toddler?
We decided to compare the Knickernappies OS to the BumGenius OS so that you could get a good idea of how they compare.
BumGenius 3.0 OS size range is between 7-3bls and the Knickernappies OS range is 8-40lbs+. The photos below show the BumGenius and KN diapers on their smallest setting and also on their largest settings.
Combine the above points with the fact that babies grow so quickly after birth we think you'll see the benefits in making Knickernappies your brand of choice for birth through potty training!
Knickernappies is owned and operated by the Hicks family and based in Springfield Oregon. Both Heather and Shannon work from home managing the business while caring for their two children.

bumGenius were the first cloth diapers I ever tried - and while I liked them, and they made the transition into cloth from disposables a lot easier - I've now found MANY different one size cloth diapers I prefer. Including Knickernappies!
i have never tried a knickernappies, but have tried bg. yours do look bigger! and i love the snaps versus velcro. i wish i had a cloth diaper money tree. :0)
Interesting, I actually think the BG are bulkier and the KN are sleeker. I LOVE KN on my 25 pound 16 month old. They are trim across the front, the snaps are much better in the wash, and the side-snaps keep him from taking them off.
I am expecting #2 in June and plan to give away all my BG. They just aren't worth the money. Plus KN come in much cooler colors! Now that I have learned I can get custom print ones made, I'm really sunk...
Oh please don't tell me that you can get custom print Knickernappies? Oh boy I'm going to be in trouble :)KNs are my first choice in cloth diapers and I love the square shape on my 26lb 14mo old.
you're in trouble now! http://hyenacart.com/Knickernappies/ and in a couple weeks she will be our featured retailer. tell her you heard about her from the KN Blog!
Great comparison! I also wish I had a money tree just to buy cloth diapers! I'd buy a whole new stash and include Knickernappies in it! :)
I have 2 knickernappies and I honestly love them. There's only one thing that is a little difficult is trying to get the hang of snapping them down instead of up. It's a little time consuming on a squirming baby but I'm sure I'll get used to it.
You don't have to unsnap the rise when you wash them :)
Another reason to love Knicker Nappies... they are made in the USA!!
My oldest girl has special needs! I couldn't even find trainers that worked for her...this looks like something I need to try out!!
I wish I could compare. I have yet to try the Knickernappies. :(
We have some we like, but don't like their bulk.
I just might need to order some considering all the wonderful reviews.

I have about 10 or so BG's and 1 Knickernappy. The OS weren't out when we got any of them so we waited until she was in the large size to try it & I fell in love. I wish we had the new OS ones...
I love my KN OS and while all my other diapers are on the largest setting for my son, we still use our KN snapped down one so I know we have lots of room to grow!
I love knickernappies for the day time, but so far, BumGenius is the only one that I have found to work well for night time.
I LOVE Knickernappies, but they are very different from BGs other than fit. Side snapping v. velcro, wings tucked inside the front v. a front cross with the velcro. Side is just one of many things to consider. :)
Missy for night time Knickernappies work great when stuffed with a Super Do or even micro insert topped with a Just Hemp! Good Luck!
I'd love a CD money tree too, ha ha! I haven't tried a Knickernappy but I just blogged a review of the SD & LD inserts I bought!
